Have you ever looked at Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke and thought to yourself, “Wow, that dude looks like Tiger Woods!” Nope, me neither, but apparently, the two characters have more in common than perhaps you might first think.
Dead Space’s mighty mute protagonist has popped up in a number of strange places since leaving the USG Ishimura, including cameos in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, Skate 3, and – ironically enough – Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.
Hey, Dead Space LD here. All these games used the same basic model rig, so adding Isaac was as simple as importing the model. Dead Space’s engine was a branch off of Tiger Woods, which was made in the same studio as Dead Space back then.

Replying to a tweet to which we were invited to “remember that hot second where EA kept trying to act like Isaac Clarke from dead space was this iconic universally beloved character”, a former EA Redwood Shores dev popped up to explain why Clarke was probably most comfortable on the putting green.
“Hey, Dead Space [level designer] here,” Ben Johnson said (thanks, PC Gamer). “All these games used the same basic model rig, so adding Isaac was as simple as importing the model. Dead Space’s engine was a branch off of Tiger Woods, which was made in the same studio as Dead Space back then.”
